ANZAC Assembly

We had a very special ANZAC commemoration assembly today. The Intermediates read a poem and the choir sang an awesome song especially written for ANZAC day by Mrs Sinclair. We all remembered that lots of people have fought in wars to help keep NZ a safe and free country.
Did you know that some miners from NZ went to France and dug huge tunnels for the soldiers under the ground? They made some tunnels to join some caves together, they had hospitals, kitchens and bathrooms all under ground. We read some very interesting stories about what happened in the war.
We hope everyone has a safe and special ANZAC holiday with their families.
